Everyone loves a mixed berry smoothie! I will be sharing with you the healthiest and best way to make it. This is perfect for the mornings!

Prep time: 3 minutes

Cook time 1-2 minutes

Ingredients:

1 cup coconut milk

1/2 cup frozen mixed berries (blueberries, blackberries and raspberries)

1 tbsp flax seeds

1/2 tbsp almond butter

In your blender, put the half of cup of frozen mixed berries. You can buy this at any grocery store. Berries give a natural sweetness to the smoothie and your day! Now, put in 1 tbsp flax seeds. Flax seeds benefits you in two ways; it is a protein and a fiber. Protein and fiber is important and healthy. Protein has Vitamin B and repairs cells. Not to mention that the protein that your body doesn’t use, won’t turn into fat. Fiber is important for gut health and it removes toxins from your body. Protein and fiber should be incorporated into every meal to keep you feeling your best. Next, is one of my favorite parts, almond butter. Put 1/2 tbsp of almond butter into the blender. Almond butter will make the smoothie creamy. It is a protein and a healthy fat. Healthy fat calms and relaxes the body. In addition, it helps curb cravings. A healthy fat should also be in every meal. Finally, put 1 cup of coconut milk into the blender. This will give a thin consistency to the smoothie. If you want thicker smoothie, simply put less coconut milk. Blend the smoothie on a medium plus or if your blender has it, press the smoothie button. That’s it! You just made a healthy and delicious mixed berry smoothie!
